Update From Fremont Speedway

Frist off...THANK YOU too all those who have called, stopped by, helped at the track, sent well wishes and sent text! It is amazing how the racing family pulls together to help another.
Mike took a pretty bad tumble during his heat race Saturday night at Fremont Speedway. When he got out of the car he was pretty winded and hurting but he felt he was ok. We walked back to the trailer and while he was changing out of his suit it was apparent that there might be something wrong. For precautionary purposes, he was transferred to the Fremont hospital. A CT was done and that came back clear! There is some swelling in the neck area, so we will be going back on Monday for x-rays and will be seeing a doctor on Tuesday. As of right now, however, all seems to be ok!!
I will update anything new we find out this week. Again, THANK YOU!!

Linder Tames Tough Attica Field (4-18-08)

(Attica, OH) Mike Linder has sent a message to the area 410 sprint teams in 2008 - new team owner, new number, new colors, but same winning results.

Linder tamed a tough field that included Advanced Auto Parts World of Outlaws and O'Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions teams on R&R Auto Wrecking/HD Supply Night at Attica Raceway Park Friday, April 18. It was the eighth career 410 sprint victory for the Fremont, Ohio driver at "Ohio's Finest Racing" speedplant.

ATTICA, Ohio - Due to the rainy conditions forecast for Thursday and Friday,
the Coors Light Spring Clash, featuring the O'Reilly All Star Circuit of
Champions, season opener at Attica Raceway Park has been moved to the
raindate of Saturday, April 5.

"John (Bores, promoter) and the crew have been working hard the past couple
of days to get the facility ready. They made a lot of progress in the pit
area this weekend and made headway on the track Wednesday. Considering how
saturated the ground has been this spring - there's been flooding all over
the immediate area - they have done a remarkable job," said Attica
Operations Director Rex LeJeune.

"More rain is called for Thursday and Friday but Saturday's forecast is
looking better, with sunny skies and temperatures in the 50s, so were
hopeful we can get the season underway," LeJeune continued.

Pit gates will open Saturday at 4 p.m. with grandstand entry at 4:30 p.m.
and racing at 7:30 p.m.

Meet the newest member of Linder Racing...Emily Anne Linder born to Steven and Karrie on January 5, 2008 at Toledo Hospital. Emily weighed 5 lbs 11 oz and 19 inches long. Although she was born 5 weeks early, she is doing very well and growing rapidly!!

A thank you message from Mike to the safety crew:

I would like to take a moment to thank all of Fremont Speedway's safety crew, EMS crew and firemen. When given the opportunity to come out to the shop they jumped on it. They brought different types of backboards and wanted to try them on an "unconscious" me. We went over different ways to shut cars off and to stop fuel leaks. They had many questions on how they can do their job better. It's people like this that normally get no thank yous on race day, but I would like to thank right now. Guys, you do a great job and I hope this helped you to do it even better!
