Well it is the second racing weekend of the year for
Linder Racing 3-1-2 team. This weekend we were set to
go racing at Attica Raceway Park on Friday and
Saturday going to the opener at Fremont Speedway with
new owners Rich Farmer and Andy James. Well the
weekend was pretty good for the team, and also
interesting for me! I will explain later!

The team was off for a week before the orange and
brown 312 hit the race track again at the high banks
of Attica Raceway Park. That ment the week in between
the races was pretty easy. Maintance was done by
Wednesday and Michael started to work on the car the
got bent up in the last race of the year at Fremont
last year.

Friday night was R&R Night at ARP a proud sponsor on
the Linder Racing team. Last year Michael won on R&R
night so the team was pretty pumped about it this
year. Hats off to the crew at ARP. They got the track
in good racing shape. Steph had a good pill draw for
us this weekend started up front in the heat he was
scheduled to start 3rd but the pole sitter pulled in
before the start which moved the J&J to the outside of
the front row next to Super David Harrison. David got
the jump on the start and was off. Mike just rode in
second til the end of the race.

I did get to do something for the first time in my
short racing career as a crew member. I got to sipe
and groove a tire. More on that to come!

Feature time and made very little change to the car
before pushing out to start on the outside of the
front row next to the defending All Star Champion Greg
Wilson. Wilson got the jump on Michael but 5-6 laps
into it Michael got a great bite off the bottom of
turn 2 to take the lead. I'll be honest since this is
a blog and not a press release. I didn't think Mike
would be able to hold off who was in second and third.
Daryn Pittman, and Dale Blaney. One Pittman is a
Outlaw... I believe he has a little bit more power
under the hood of his car than the 312 and Blaney...
well Dale is Dale. He's tough anytime he's at the
track.

The laps where winding down and that's when things got
a little crazy on the top of the trailer. Pittman
tried a couple times on a couple restarts to get by
Mike on the top but luckliy the car was just a rocket
off the bottom of the corners and was able to pull
away from Pittman and the rest of the field. The white
flag came out and the trailer started shaking and the
crew started yelling. Coming out of four to take the
checkard. I don't think anybody got down from the top
of the trailer using all of the ladder. I hopped on
the JackAss and hauled down to the horse track... Well
I forgot you have to weigh after the race! It was a
awsome win for Mike and the crew since it was R&R
night at the track!

Now it's time for the opener at Fremont Speedway. It
wasn't looking good to get the races in. Weather was
cloudy and rainy and just not looking good.

We did get to get hot laps in and we where getting the
car ready for the heat when Steven and Ryan Witte
heard a hissing noise coming from the right rear tire.
Now this is where I got to thinking about the first
time I got to sipe and groove a tire... Well it turns
out that I cut a little too deep and put a hole in the
tire. Oops! Needless to say I felt horrible about it.
There goes $180! Then Michael told me a story of a
time he had to sipe a tire during the Kings Royal that
didn't go so well for him. So that made me feel a
little better. Needless to say Steven and the rest of
the crew won't let me forget about this! But credit to
Steven he let me do another tire during the rain
delay.

This weekend was pretty good for the team and and
learning experience for me! The team will be set to go
racing this weekend at Attica Raceway Park on Friday
and Fremont Speedway on Saturday. Hey don't forget to
stop down to the trailer and get your new Mike Linder
t-shirt! $15 a piece and they are looking nice!!! I
got a few of them! That's all for this week. Cya at
the track!

PS-I'm still working on getting these shorter!
